I try to lose my mind a little bit every day and it's more important than, you know, okay, so I'll give you my dirty little secret, which I don't live on air a lot. I like to make prank calls. It's one of my favorite things. I do multiple characters. I can do a Persian guy that speaks like these. How are you? I'm Mr. Irani. I can do a Russian guy who Panama Chiba is rusky.

But the fact is you have to use every tool in your arsenal and you have to find out what tools the competition isn't using and you have to jump on it. Like I don't know, but you gotta jump on it like it was a gazelle and you're a lion in savannah.

Life is about luck but it's not what you think. Luck can be created and it's about being in the flow. Uh, a great author uh Chikset Mihai who recently passed away just a few days ago wrote the great book Flow and he talks about the amazing synchronicities that could potentially happen when you're in the flow. I've been lucky my whole life, but I believe that I have created my luck.

The most important thing is being visible. So to be visible what we call ranking, you show up on that first page. When you search for I don't know uh pie cutters and go on to that first page of amazon when you click through, there are about 10 or 20 items on that page. That is golden real estate. There might be 2000 products, there might be 20000 products, but whoever is on that first page has it. Whoever's got the number one listing that's gold. So amazon discovered hey, I know how we're going to get up there. It's going to catch 21 catch 22 English not so good. Um, so whichever catch it is and what they did was they designed their algorithm so that the more sales you have the higher you rank.

Is that chasing money never works and I coach people and I know you coach people too is to chase excellence not money because the difference in lifestyle between having a hundred million dollars and having a billion dollars you know it’s it really doesn’t have to be that different? You can have everything that you ever wanted in life with a hundred million dollars.

Whereas and I tell people this all the time. I say look, if you get an inheritance or you get divorced, this could be one or two windfalls your whole life. So don’t blow it. Like most people don’t get a 10 million dollar check every month. Like it’s once when your parents die or once when your grandma and so be very mindful if you ever get that windfall and don’t be like a lottery mentality and go buy a bunch of new cars.

So I think getting wealthy is the same thing if you don’t have the discipline to earn it or to save or to live miserly. We had a whole episode on how miserly you are and I thought it was hilarious how you still use coupons and so does my dad you know very very wealthy people but they have discipline.

And I do a lot of difficult things. I solve a lot of tricky problems but when I look at my life and I look at my work, I never think to myself that it’s hard and I don’t think that life in general really was ever meant to be a struggle. People that are struggling usually aren’t the same people that are succeeding so if you can let go of struggle and get into the flow and there’s a lot of great tactics for doing that you’ll be in a far better place in life.
