Alright, so in this episode, what I want to briefly touch upon is synchronicity. When you are in the flow, other people who are also in the flow seem to have a way of gravitating to you and the things that you are doing. Now, a lot of this may seem like woowhoo. And I'm sure that there is not a whole lot of science behind this. So, for me, this is really something that falls under the category of following your gut. And, you know, in the beginning of every journey, you know, one of my my grade teachers used to always tell me that, when you start up on your journey, you're going uphill, you're climbing the face of a mountain, and it is going to have lots of fog visibility is going to be low, you won't be able to see two feet in front of you, maybe a foot in front of you. But you have to have this unflinching belief in yourself. Which coming up through starting my first supplement company starting out herbal ecstasy, that's what I did. I had this unwavering belief in myself. And even though I couldn't see what the future held, I had this resolute belief that I was going to make it no matter how many times I got knocked down. And so I couldn't see two feet in front of me, I couldn't see one foot in front of me. But I kept moving as if I could, and I moved carefully climbing that mountain, one step at a time, I would put my hand in one hold and see that, you know, the rock would fall and then I would put it in another one. You know, obstacles would come as I progressed, but it didn't really matter. Because at the end of the day, I somehow felt it in my gut, I knew that I was going to succeed. And I was more than this whole thing was more than this. Just unwavering belief that's just based on cockiness or confidence. It was really a commitment that I had made to myself that no matter what was going to happen, I was going to succeed. So I made the climb, one foot, two feet, 10 feet, 100 feet, and it was all uphill. At first, things didn't make sense failure happened daily, constantly, I would bump my head up against a brick wall seemingly every day. But I kept going at it. And you'll see in my story. And as this podcast moves forward, and in my upcoming book billion, how this played out for me. But as I moved up, there was a point where I reached the peak. Now, I'm not talking about the peak of success, I'm talking about the peak of my climb, very different. When you peak, as you succeed, there's no way to go but down. But when you peak on your journey, you reach the top of that journey. It's a different story. Now, you can glide down, and that's what I did. So then everything became visible once I reached the top of the mountain, at the height of the herbal ecstasy phenomena, which was my first big company. We had made hundreds of millions of dollars by the time I reached the top of that peak, and I looked and I was in the flow. something had happened that seemingly instantaneously but really took me over, you know, few years to build up to that point that anything I touched seemed to turn to gold. So a lot of people think in those days that all I did was herbal ecstasy, but that's not true. Herbal ecstasy was one part of the business. I started doing t shirts, we sold millions of dollars in T shirts. There are still people walking around Venice Beach with ecstasy butterfly t shirts that they're wearing everywhere and it's got you know, glow in the dark lining to it and the T shirt was amazing. We sold millions Have t shirts, and successfully started t shirt company, we were printing them in Venice, we would buy them from American Apparel for pennies on the dollar because they had little holes in them at the time. And we learned quickly that once they did their quality control check, and one of the shirts in a dozen had holes, they would toss the entire dozen and sell them for pennies on the dollar. So we just bought them all and we figure people who were into raves and herbal ecstasy wouldn't care. And we bought millions of T shirts and sold millions of T shirts. We had a record label, I found a musician who, you know, seemingly was burned out on whatever it was very talented guy, we produced a record for him, we sold millions of copies of that record. We sold shampoo, we sold drug detection tests, and we sold drinks that you could drink. So your if you had taken any kind of substance, it wouldn't show up in your drug test. We went to India and we bought hookahs and all kinds of things. I mean, this was before people were talking about the word quote, unquote, side hustle, but we were doing anything and everything I mean, especially when you are in your 20s. And I was in my 20s, at that point, at the top of this peak, and I was hungry. You know, no family, no commitments in that way, I was a single guy. It really led me to a place where anything was possible. And I really didn't care about loss, I had nothing to lose. And that was the absolute peak. And there was a electricity to being in the flow. There was a magnetism that came with that time, that period, that era that felt exciting to be around. And if you're around the me who was in his 20s, the teenager who had made hundreds of millions and close to a billion dollars at that point, and was in the flow of things, you would want to work with me people hated me. But they still wanted to bring deals to me and work with me. They hated me, because they didn't understand I was an anomaly. In those days, I did not register in the lexicon of how you do things. And mind you this was all before the internet before smartphones. And we were making pills and selling millions of them. But that wasn't the only thing we were doing. So how did I get into the flow? How did I get into that synchronicity where things seemed to come to me deals would come to me somebody would call and I'd be on a plane to Japan, somebody would call and I would be on a plane to Europe, and wining and dining, you know, on somebody's yard or being on a private jet to the island somewhere? or hanging out with famous celebrities on Malibu Beach. How did that happen? So, in the coming episodes, we're going to be talking more about this. But I kind of wanted to just in this quick episode, share with you my thoughts about intuition, synchronicity, and flow, and share with you some of these little stories, which I've got one last story that I will share with you in these last two minutes, which kind of sums up everything about synchronicity and intuition. So I'm on a train, first class cabin in France. And I'm thinking, Okay, this is going to be great. I just did a concert there, where we were selling access to the I was on tour with one of the big bands at that time, who was also on tour with a band called prodigy. And there was a bunch of electronic dance music people there at the time. And I go to a small town on this first-class train, I get on the train to come back to Paris. And the man in front of me is opening up a newspaper. And on the back cover of that newspaper. I appear. And sitting next to me on the left is a man who is looking for distribution business in Paris, and he has an office in Paris. And he starts talking to me like he knows me, asking me about the newspaper. And somehow, we hit it off. We went to lunch or dinner at the time in Paris. He got the distribution and he became my distributor for Paris and I think some of the other areas in that in that time. But what are the chances of that, that a kid in his teens from Venice Beach happens to be in Paris, that happens to be on the train, and all the stuff unfold at once. It's the magic of being in the flow. It's the magic of synchronicity. It's the magic of following your gut. And having this unwavering belief in yourself, and remembering that that belief is not just a false kind of hope. But it is a resolution, that no matter what it takes, no matter how you're going to have to do it, that you will succeed. And if you have that, if you have that ambition, mixed with a commitment to make it happen, there's a very strong chance that you will make it now there's other things that need to be done. But for me, that's really what it was. Okay, thank you for listening. see on the next episode.
